Creative. Conscientious. Restorative.

I’m a Bristol based poet and pastoral assistant who writes to understand myself and across divides.

I write for the voice so you get to experience my poetry best when it’s live or on audio.

My practice is deeply restorative, focusing on tension and discomfort as pathways to understanding.

‘don’t rock the boat’

‘that was a low blow’

‘it’s taken its toll’

Conflict is often poetic and always generative, but it needs to be directed in a positive way. I use poetry as a tool for reframing the boundaries of a conversation so everyone involved feels heard. A keen learner of culture and theology, I get excited when I see threads within and across both.

My latest project Words Between Us is a poetry residency with Bridges for Communities.
